Jumping rope is still a great way to burn body fat and is an excellent warm up.
That being said it is very important to take a break after your workout. Do it for 10 minutes. So on those days when you are feeling under the weather, or if you just donβt have the energy to work out, take a 10 minute break and then you can keep going.
Some studies, however, do report that a higher calorie intake will lead to more weight loss. This is especially true for those who eat a lot of sugary foods, such as sodas, bread products, desserts and candy. Higher calorie intake is also associated with more severe weight loss. You cannot, however, blame your body and still have a positive jump rope routine. While you can eat what ever you want and not gain weight, you can't starve yourself to make your body work harder. So how much weight are you suppose to lose? How much fat? The weight loss you should be tracking is the weight you are putting on after you have worked out. According to the Mayo Clinic, the average amount of weight that men and women should be losing after just 30 days of exercise is a modest 9 to 11 pounds. That's not a bad amount, but not too exciting either. So, how do you know how much to track weight loss? There are plenty of great and free resources available online aimed at helping you lose weight and reduce your risk of osteoporosis.
